With a population of about 40 million, expect the youth to move to urban areas, slums will continue cropping up.
Housing And Settlements
CEI Charity Uganda exists to help minimize this escalating problem of mushrooming slums by carrying out slum improvement initiatives in and around Mityana and other cities of Uganda.
A recent report by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, pointed to a housing deficit of 550,000 units. About 160,000 of this backlog is in urban areas.
With a population of about 40 million, expect the youth to move to urban areas, slums will continue cropping up. The per capita will become low. This retards the country economically.
According to Uganda Human Settlements Network, the housing sector contributes enormously to the socio-economic development such as the economic growth, fixed capital formation, employment creation, and ensuring macro-economic stability.
Under operation since 2004, at CEI charity Uganda, we advocate for human rights, offer sponsorships/ Bursary programs to health workers in collaboration with partners, curative, preventive, health talks, medical tours and we exist to improve the livelihood of people in the communities of Mityana and Kampala.
